How prayer times work in the UAE
The UAE's General Authority of Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) publishes the official prayer timetable. It uses Fajr and Isha angles of 18.2°, the standard Asr, and adds a few minutes to Dhuhr and Maghrib. Because the country stretches from the Gulf coast to the Gulf of Oman, times on the east coast, such as Fujairah and Khor Fakkan, are several minutes earlier than in Abu Dhabi.
Whichever app you use, check that its times match the official timetable and your local masjid within a minute or two.
