How prayer times work in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia uses the Umm al-Qura method: Fajr when the sun is 18.5° below the horizon, and Isha a fixed 90 minutes after Maghrib (120 minutes in Ramadan). Asr uses the standard shadow length. Because these rules differ from methods used in other countries, always check that an app's times match your local masjid in Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah or Dammam for the first few days.
